Saera is a voice-controlled personal assistant for Linux-based mobile devices. It allows you to set alarms, send texts, read emails and more, all with the power of your voice. You can also ask it for whatever information you need - the weather, the time, or even to search the web for something.

Saera is written in Python, a portable and powerful programming language. This allows it to run on multiple platforms; currently it has support for the Nokia N900 (Maemo 5), the Jolla (Sailfish OS), desktop computers (running Ubuntu), and any command-line Linux or Unix system. It uses Julius for voice recognition and eSpeak for speech synthesis.
